Judoka from Japan Niizoe Saki captured the gold medal at the Grand Slam in Paris in 2021. She won bronze at the Grand Prix in Düsseldorf in 2017. Saki won the Grand Slam in Tokyo in 2016 after she won the Kodokan Cup. She was 2016 Japanese Junior champion and 2015 Asian Junior champion. She took bronze at the Grand Slam in Ekaterinburg in 2017. Saki won the Grand Prix in Budapest in 2018. Niizoe won the World Masters in 2018 in Guangzhou. She clinched a gold medal at the gold Grand Prix in Hohhot in 2019. She took Grand Slam silver in Paris in 2020.
