Hifume Abe has an impressive judo career, becoming World Champion in 2017, 2018, 2022, and 2023, and clinching the Olympic gold in Tokyo. He gained recognition after winning the Youth Olympic Games in Nanjing in 2014 and reaching the World Junior Championships final the same year. Notably, he secured silver at the World Cadet Championships in Miami. In 2016, he became the youngest winner of the Grand Slam in Tyumen and Tokyo, repeating his victory in 2023. Remarkably, Abe holds the record for the most Grand Slam titles, with a total of eleven wins.
