Georgian judoka Giorgi Katsiashvili took silver at the European Open in Sofia in 2016. He won the European Youth Olympic Festival (EYOF) in Utrecht in 2013. Katsiashvili won bronze at the European Junior Championships in Oberwart as well with the Georgian team. He won bronze at the Grand Prix Budapest 2016. He won silver at the Junior European Championships in Malaga in 2016. He claimed the gold medal at the US Open in 2021.
