German judoka Sarah Maekelburg won silver at the European Cup in Celje in 2017. She won Junior European cups in Prague and La Coruna. With the German mixed team she won World Junior bronze in Zagreb in 2017. She took a silver medal at the European Open in Lisbon in 2018. She took bronze at the European Cup for seniors in Celje and European Open in Minsk in 2018. She took silver at the 2019 European Open in Prague. She took the silver medal at the European Open in Cluj Napoca in 2019. She claimed a bronze medal at the Grand Slam in Tbilisi in 2022.
