Judoka Yung Wei Yang of Taipei was the sensation U60kg at the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo and claimed a silver medal. He claimed a silver medal at the Grand Slam in Düsseldorf in 2020. He won the East Asian Championships Hong Kong in 2016. Yang was number 1 of the IJF World Ranking for juniors U60kg in 2017. He clinched a silver medal at the Asian Pacific Championships in 2019. He took various IJF World tour medals in Qingdao, Hohhot, Budapest and Tashkent. He took silver at the IJF Judo masters in Doha in 2021. He bagged a gold medal at the Grand Slam in Antalya in 2022 and bronze in 2021.
