Judoka Brenda Olaya competed at the Junior World Championships in Guayaquil in 2022 where she finished seventh. She claimed a bronze medal at the Panam Open in Santo Domingo in 2022. She took a bronze medal at the Pan Am Open in Lima and Bogota in 2022. She took silver at the Pan American Open in Santiago in 2023. She took bronze at the World Championships Junior in Odivelas in 2023. Attained silver at the Pan American Oceania Championships in Rio de Janeiro in 2024. Gold medal at 2024 Pan American Open in Bogota. Became the junior world champion in 2024 in Dushanbe (TJK).
