Dutch judoka Ben Sonnemans was 1997 European Champion and former Sports Director of the Dutch Judo Association. He finished fifth at the 1996 Olympics of Atlanta. Big Ben won the Tournoi de Paris in 1999. Sonnemans won 8 Dutch titles, three European medals and 4 World Cups and European Cup with Kenamju.
