Álvaro Sigales is a Uruguayan athlete, who began practicing Judo in 1968 at the L'avenir Gymnastics Society of Montevideo under the tutelage of teachers Raúl Vidal and César Polcino. He has competed in youth, junior and senior categories for more than a decade obtaining the highest results and awards for Best Tournament Technique.
