In 2018 Balint Gombas of Hungary won gold at the Cadet European Cup in Zagreb. Balint Gombas (HUN) was number 1 of the IJF World Ranking for cadets U50kg in 2019. He bagged a bronze medal at the Junior European Cup in Lignano in 2022. He clinched a gold medal at the Junior European Cup in Banja Luka in Bosnia in 2022. He bagged a bronze medal at the European University Games in Lodz in 2022. Attained silver at the 2024 European Cup Celje Podčetrtek. Silver medal at 2024 European Cup Malaga.
