Nordic Capital Judo Challenge in Stockholm
This Saturday, Stockholm will breathe judo. The square at Medborgarplatsen will be transformed into a judo arena for the Nordic Capital Judo Challenge. A team competition will be held between Stockholm, Oslo and Helsinki for both men and women. For the second consecutive year it'll be located at Scandinavia's Judo Capital.
Helsinki and Oslo will line up with their national teams and Stockholm is represented by a very strong team, including Martin Pacek (Grand Slam winner), Marcus Nyman (former European Champion), Tommy Macias, Robin Pacek, Emma Barkeling (reigning U23 European champion) and more.
Martin Pacek is the first ever Swedish Judoka to win a Grand Slam tournament, the 2015 edition of Tyumen. This is the highest ranked competition in Judo after the Olympic Games and the World Championships. Pacek will be the Stockholm Team Captain on Saturday.
The competition is unique when it comes to showcasing competitive Judo for a large audience.
