Judo will play a very important role among those sports as it also replaces the annual European Championships.

The popularity of Judo is growing in Belarus and the results are stunning with former World Number one Maryna Slutskaya and amazing talents like Dzmitry Minkou, Yahor Varapayeu, Daniel Mukete, Mikita Sviryd and many more. The Chizkovka Arena will be used for the test event where in 2019 the Games will be held for judo. The European Games were held in Baku in 2015 so it will be the second European Games. In other continents it’s more usual to have a continental multisport event each four years.

This weekend 40 countries will be represented in Minsk. Last year the home team won three of the 14 titles.
