Japanese womens headcoach Mitsutoshi Nanjo resigns

Japanese women’s headcoach Mitsutoshi Nanjo resigned after being headcoach since 2012, installed after the Olympic Games of London. In Rio at the Olympic Games Nanjo was responsible for the five medals in the Japanese women’s team including the gold of Haruka Tachimoto where he was personally involved as coach.

The Japanese coaching staff consisted of various coaches for the A-team of Japan where Nanjo was Director and chief coach. Assisted at international tournament in various categories:

U78kg and +78kg: Maki Tsukada, Midori Shinkawa

U63kg and U70kg: Masae Ueno, Ayumi Tanimoto

U48kg and U52kg and 57kg: Yuji Matsumoto

The Japanese national team coaches  for the men’s A-team are:

Director and Chief coach: Kosei Inoue

U100kg and +100kg: Keiji Suzuki

U90kg: Mitsushi Hirokawa

U73kg and U81kg: Yusuke Kanamaru

U60kg and U66kg: Minoru Konegawa
