Russian judoka Vyacheslav Vasilevsky won a bronze medal at the III. Children of Asia Games in 2004 in the category U60kg. He clinched the Sambo World title in 2017 in Sochi in Combat. He won the World title at the 2015 Sambo World Combat Championships in Casablanca and in 2013 in St Petersburg. He won the 2012 world title at the Sambo World Championships in Minsk. He took the 2010 World title in combat at the World Combat Championships in Tashkent.
