Juliana Velasquez Tonasse is former judoka and current MMA champion. With her judo background she became a fmous Brazilian bellator athlete: Bellator's Juliana Velasquez Tomasse is a former Brazilian team member and her club is Flamengo. She fought U70 kg. In MMA she is a sucessful flyweight U56kg. She had COVID which affected training camp and performance. “I come from an Olympic sport. My dream was to make the Olympics and win the gold medal in Judo. To me, I wasn’t able to get to the Olympics. But this world title feels the same as that gold medal.”
