Judoka Françoise Harteveld was 1992 and 1995 European junior Champion. She became World Student Champion and Olympian. Franny was very successful as wrestler a after her judo career. Studied Human Resources Management & Personnel Policy. Started judo when she was 3 years old. She was European Champion in Oviedo in 1998 and claimed four European medals.She captured 21 medals including victories in Prague, Warsaw (2) and Rotterdam as some of her highlights. She was born in Maassluis and was coached by Rob Henneveld.
