Judoka and judo referee Roberta Chyurlia of Italy became an IJF referee since 2011 just like her father Pasquale Tonino Chyurlia who also officiated at Olympic Games. She officiated a few World Championships finals. Roberta’s mother was a judoka and won a National Championship bronze when she was just a baby. Roberta was awarded as most progressive Progressive European Female Referee 2017, 2018 and 2020. As an athlete Roberta took a silver medal at the Italian Championships U20 Ostia in 1998 in the category U70kg. In Italy she is a lawyer.
