Azeri judoka Vusal Galandarzade became 2024 Junior European Champion in Tallinn. He was the junior world champion in 2023 in Odivelas. He secured the silver medal at the Junior European Cup in Nanterre. He secured a silver medal at the Junior European Cup in Graz in 2022. He claimed the European Junior title in 2022. With the Junior team of Azerbaijan he secured a bronze medal at the European Mixed team Championships. He triumphed at the Junior European Cup in Berlin in 2023. Bronze at the 2025 Grand Slam in Baku.
