Japanese judoka Ruri Takahashi captured the gold at the World U21 Championships in Marrakech in 2019. She triumphed at the Grand Prix in Linz in 2023. She won the European Cup U21 St Petersburg in 2018. With the Japanese team she won the junior mixed team World title in 2019. She won the Belgian Open for Juniors in Herstal in 2020 and took bronze at senior level. She finished second at the Grand Slam in Tashkent in 2024. Gold medal at 2024 Kodokan Cup in Chiba. Bronze medal at 2024 Grand Slam Tokyo. Won the 2025 Grand Slam of Baku.
