Judo in Hungary has a long tradition. Magyarország as Hungary is called is host of the IJF headoffice in Budapest and IBSA Paralympic judo head quarters. Hungarian judo celebrated its only Olympic title by Kovács Antal. In 2012 Ungvari Miki and Csernoviczki Eva won Olympic medals in London. Judo in Hungary won 9 Olympic medals and two World titles by Kovacs Antal in 1991 and Braun Akos in 2005. Toth Krisztian won World silver in 2014. The Grand Prix Budapest is the biggest IJF judo event in Hungary. In 2017 the IJF Judo World Championships are held in Budapest.
