Lubjana Piovesana mourns the loss of her younger brother Luis

Lubjana Piovesana, who has made Vorarlberg her home, is facing a personal tragedy. Her younger brother Luis was found dead in his hometown of Bristol (GBR) after an extensive, multi-day search operation. “I am devastated by this unimaginable loss. Luis was my little brother, everyone loved him,” the 28-year-old struggled to put her grief into words.
"Lulu" is currently with her family in England and has immediately withdrawn from both the Upper Austria Grand Prix in Linz (March 7–9) and the training camp in Nymburk (CZE).
Austrian Judo Federation (ÖJV) President Martin Poiger expressed his condolences in a statement: “Our deepest sympathies go out to Lubjana and her family. In moments like these, sports become completely insignificant.”
