Watch the 17 candidates for the IJF athletes commission

At the World Championships in Budapest five judoka will be elected to represent the athletes in the IJF athletes commission. The next four-year period runs from 2017 to 2020 and current chairman Teddy Riner is not on the list.
Athletes will be elected from all continents. The IJF has published the list of candidates. Candidates must be 18 or older at the time of the election and must have participated in an Olympics or World Championships.
Among the candidates are two-time bronze Olympic medallist Masashi Ebinuma, former World Champion Georgii Zantaraia, and Olympic runner-up Varlam Liparteliani. For Pan America Tiago Camilo is the most appealing candidate.
The list includes eight women including Olympic medallists Anicka van Emden and Laura Vargas Koch, current European Champion Maryna Slutskaya and multiple African Champion Antonia Moreira.
In the current athlete commission Olympic Champions such as Teddy Riner, Kayla Harrison, and Kim-Jae Bum were seeded.
