Judoka Emil Mattsson of Sweden won bronze at the European Open in Tallinn in 2016. He won the Scottish Open and the European Cup in Sarajevo both in 2016. He won various Swedish Junior titles and booked victories in Nordic judo tournaments. At senior level he won medals at European Cups in Tampere, Lund, Uster and Celje. He took a bronze medal at the European Cup in Saarbrücken in 2017 and bronze in Dubrovnik and silver medal in Malaga in 2019. Emil comes from a true judo family with seven black belts. Swedish champion in 2023. Gold medal at the European Cup in Podgorica in 2024.
