Russian heavyweight judoka Irina Rodina was the 1999 European Champion in Bratislava. Rodina won 8 European medals, silver in 2000 and 2003. She won 12 Russian titles from 1993-2006. Rodina won 7 World Cups in Moscow (3), Prague (2) Minsk and Sofia. She was 7th at the Sydney2000 Olympic Games. She won the Sambo World title in 2010 in Tashkent.
