Yoshihiro Akiyama won the Asian Games in 2002 in Busan U81kg and the Tournoi de Paris in 2002 U81kg. He won the Jigoro Kano Cup (the former Grand Slam of Tokyo) in 2002. Akiyama was fifth at the World Championships in 2003. He was All Japan Champion in 2003. In MMA he is also known as Sung Hoon Choo, professionally known as Yoshihiro “Sexyama” Akiyama of Osaka. He is one of the most iconic Asian MMA fighters in history. He is a fourth generation Japanese of Korean descent. UFC from 2009-2015.
