Indian judoka Poonam Chopra bagged a bronze medal at the 1994 Asian Games in Hiroshima. She is the First and only Indian woman who won an Asian Games medal. She took silver medal at the Asian Judo Championship in Macau. She compete at the Atlanta Olympics Games in 1996. She competed at many international events such as Japan Open in Fukuoka and World Cups. She was also a cricket player for India at international level.
